A Slice of Villa: Holiday Party

VRG’s annual Holiday Party was at our newest 40North restaurant, TOWN Bar + Kitchen! The Team enjoyed the new venue, wonderful food and each other’s company, while congratulating our VRG award recipients.

First, Mary Nieman (Human Resources Specialist) introduced the VRG Safety Captains, who take on the responsibility of general and fire safety for the corporate office. Mary presented each of them with an award for the commitment they’ve made to their fellow Team Members.

Michael Rosen (Senior Director or Purchasing/Research & Development) presented the VRG Excellence Award (given to an individual who has demonstrated persistence, tenacity, and emotional strength when dealing with the challenging environment of the restaurant industry), to Gina Amesbury (Manager of Purchasing/Research & Development) for her consistency, commitment, and loyalty to the goals of the organization.

Annual Awards are voted on by the Corporate Office and Field Management team. The following were this year’s presenters and winners:

- Peter Realmonte (Executive Vice President, Scotto Properties), honored Aivy Ariza (Regional Property Manager, Scotto Properties), with the Scotto Properties Team Member of the Year Awards (Scotto Properties is the Property Management Division of Villa Restaurant Group), which is given for consistent performance above and beyond, both within and outside of the scope of the team members responsibilities. With team members in both New Jersey and Florida, Aivy handles her many daily tasks with ease.

- Michele Scotto (Vice President of Corporate Development) presented Ryan Juliano (Senior Business Analyst) with the Corporate Team Member of the Year award for his constant commitment to the betterment of VRG’s performance, and his dedication to his colleagues. Ryan has introduced VRG to big data and has been instrumental in validating initiatives and results for restaurant operations and the Executive Leadership team.

- Finally, Mike Serchia (Vice President, Talent & Culture Development) presented Mary Nieman (Human Resource Specialist) our Core Values award. Mary consistently demonstrates our values of passion, family hospitality, integrity, innovation, and success during every interaction with VRG team members. She works tirelessly helping to recruit, streamline processes and with engagement among all team members.

VRG is proud of all our award winners!
